The buck, doe and Butch raccoon

That was a long day. We were anxiously awaiting the Planners report on the gun range. Watching the US/Iran soccer game kept us occupied. I finished off a sketch. Sort of a testament to my mindset right now.

I knew a dear young woman on Twitter who loved my silly sketches, Erin Gilmer. I would dedicate them to her, and she would giggle. She ended her journey, and I miss her.

Yesterday, the notice came:

DNE Township Council have three options; vote for the rezoning, vote against it, or defer.

The Planner's recommendation is to defer. They await a Peer Review of the Acoustic Survey.

OK, back to waiting! In the meantime, this is the lightning map around Tennessee. I was quite shocked.

Today will bring us some rainfall. Quebec has some snow on the way. British COlumbia is facing a snowstorm. Such a mess. "Thousands Without Power!" I think our kids are OK, according to the outage map

I usually get far fewer critters on trailcams when it is raining. We'll see what happens.

I had videos of the doe during both day and night!

Butch Raccoon doesn't feel the same way about rain, however. They waddle about, wearing their winter fat store.

Cute silly antlered girl offering a beautiful lily...your fun drawing. The overweight racoons are a hoot. I wonder if the pumpkin seeds do the same thing for them that they are known for humans...to de-worm oneself. At least maybe raw.

"Defer" hmmm, are they hoping the objectors can be worn down over time.

Here in Memphis we had blowing winds and heavy storms, but it only lasted a minute. We got lucky with this storm.

I'm sure glad it's warm today. Can you imagine what a state we'd be in? Vancouver sure did get in a muddle.

We had thunder storms during the night. Crazy weather.

Lightning here too, a plane got struck and had to turn back to Auckland, daughter delayed d riving till it passed, this was a little further south. The Gun Club Proposal, how they procrastinate. They need a " Round Tuit" to make them realise the futility in any delay. Hang in there, Jenn, the decision will be made sooner or probably later. p.s. I have a Round Tuit my Dad gave me So many years ago, it jogs me into activity.XXX to you all.

So sorry to read about Erin. How incredibly sad about how she lived after the accident. So glad you drew that cute drawing and called attention to her plight. That's how it is for many of us without adequate insurance. My foodie friend Sally has a doctor for every part of her body. She has excellent insurance apparently. She goes often enough. She even has a mental health dr and a memory dr.

Sorry the planners decided to defer and wait on the survey. Out of sight, out of mind.

Enjoyed the doe and fat raccoons.

A deferment is not your wish, but it does leave you with some hope.

Oh dear, deferring isn't a good sign (IMO). The council should just have the wearwithall to make a decision. Brampton council stood up & banned fireworks on private property - finally someone started the ball rolling on that, now other councils in the region are taking note. It just takes one. Off my soap box now.
Butch seems to be going into winter in fairly good shape.
