Saturday's Critters

It's Saturday, again! Thanks to Eileen for hosting.

Saturday's Critters # 467

The doe quite likes the pumpkin seeds. She really gets into her work!

This little one had a great doggy shake as it was about to move off!

I inserted new batteries in this trailcam. Much better view of the coyote.

Butch has been a less frequent visitor, depending up the temperature. They do sleep in the wicked cold, but they don't truly hibernate.

...slowly the pumpkins are disappearing.

Butch looks totally round these days. WHile he's all plumped up the deer don't seem to have extra insulation at all. That just the way things are, I guess.

You already have quite a bit of snow but we've seen the weather channel and winter weather came early this year. Love your trail cams! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend.

Your pumpkins are giving them so good nutrition.

Thank you so much for sharing the critters you see (which are true exotica to me).

It's obvious that you've got a good camera. The photos are clear. I always like to see the deer; they are such attractive, flexible and gracious animals!

The doe looks very intent on feeding from the pumpkins. Such a good idea to put them out for wildlife as many just go to waste.

I always enjoy your special photos! (My trail cam has been siting unused on a shelf. Sigh. No excuse for not getting it out again.)

The body language of deer makes me smile.

I still have to bring in my feeders at night so the sooner the raccoons cease their nightly perambulations the better!

I'm glad to see butch is still around. The only raccoons I have seen lately are roadkill.

Hello,
I love the deer and pumpkin videos. The raccoons are a nuisance.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and week ahead. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

My husband thinks that I am crazy, but we have a patch of land that was reclaimed from the swamp after the removal (multiple times) of some beaver dams. I saved a coffee can full of pumpkin seeds from our pumpkins this year. Next spring, I'm going to plant that whole area in pumpkins. That will avoid having the garden over run by over enthusiastic pumpkin vines as well as providing deer food. Hopefully there will be enough left over to for us to eat.
