We're getting there...

Friday

Friday I did a grocery shop and it wasn't pretty. I'd forgotten to have breakfast in the rush before the storm, and I was a bit dizzy. Despite strict order to get ground coffee, I brought home whole beans. I'm gonna have to grind them.
Our colds were worsening, JB phoned the doctor for an appointment Monday.

Sunday

Sunday, the kids did Facetime with me. They'd made Christmas cookies. Izzy showed me all that they had done setting out Christmas ornaments, etc. It's Josee's 12th birthday party next weekend. Gonna be fun! I love their sweaters!

Monday

My first chore was to get the garbage out by 8 a.m., but first I had to shovel the front step. Next, in for an 8:30 physiotherapy appointment for my bursitis. Yikes. I remembered to have some toast. It's been a long time since I've had to be human at that time of day!

Home again, I did the 100m driveway. That was fun. I was pretty fatigued.

Thank you, all, for asking how we are, and giving moral support.  We went to the doctor after lunch. Poor JB is so full of phlegm. I won't gross you out. He's tried all sorts of cough meds. We'e both had headaches from coughing so much.  I explained the difference between it being viral and bacterial. It was time.

We were behind RTRULOV going into town!
I'm on the mend. I might have an ear infection, but it'll heal sometime soon. My kids' GP used to look in their ears and say, "You have a fire engine in your ear!"

JB is on 'banana medicine', AKA Amoxicillin. He has some bacterial infection in his left lung, as well as sinusitis. The doctor gave him a Rx for a puffer, too. It should be a few days as he fights this. I'm just tired and taking it easy. I won't go to my client this week. Not only do I not want to give this to her, but the more I talk, the more I cough.

Out, in the night and in the snow. The buck came out after the snow.

Tuesday

This morning I fed the cats, fed the fish, started the very full dishwasher, and began a fire in the TV room. It's a bit chilly.

I tried to put the coffee grinder to work, but I'm ready to throw it out the window. Nothing is simple.

With snow and colds I think I would go to bed and not get up. You are probably used to driving in snow and ice, but growing up in Los Angeles I never learned that skill. - Margy

Most people delay medical attention as you hope to get better on your own. I hope things improve quickly.

I was under the impression that JB was in the care of a naturopath. Naturopathy does have prevention supplements as well as stuff that deals well with the crisis of the cold.
Anyway, may you feel well and strong!

He is taking supplements for immunity boosters for hsi cancer, but it hasn't done much for this virus. All the phlegm is just going bacterial, though.

Technology can certainly be frustrating. And it doesn't help any being worn down/still recuperating. Take it easy.

I frequently dont bother to eat before heading out to beat the maddening crowds in the morning as well. Our own worst enemy aren't we?

Jenn - being sick in the winter is just the worst. It saps every bit of energy needed to brave the elements for just the simple tasks, never mind running the snow blower! Hope recovery is just around the corner for you both.

What happened to Saturday? JB, that sounds not good at all.Jenn, you and the snow blower, loved the part where it blew the snow all over the lens!!!Hang in there, remember to have some food, and maybe get some help with any more outside stuff. All OK here, wear those fleecy neck warmers, both of you.XXXXX
