📹 Lots of Critters

It's been cold and snowy. Perfect time to watch curling on TV! Canada was choosing its Olympics teams. I quite liked the arrangement here!

Nov. 29 the sun came out. My orchid has lost three bloom branches. Nutmeg didn't care. She was cold, looking between me and Joseph Brian to be let in.

With the unexpected action of Barry Beaver, I have neglected the other regulars. This is a buck on Nov. 13th, spreading his scent at the scrape.

Coyote

There are two does hanging around. What I find interesting is that the coyotes trot up and down the driveway. The deer trod carefully on the grass beside the asphalt.

This looks like the fawn that hangs with the does. She did a selfie, you can hear her sniff for food, just in case!

The fawn was into the garden Nov. 20. I'd forgotten this! You can hear the blue jays yelling at her.

Anyway, the week begins. Lets have a good one. It's -8 ℃. Garbage is out and it is time for coffee!

We're getting there...

Friday

Friday I did a grocery shop and it wasn't pretty. I'd forgotten to have breakfast in the rush before the storm, and I was a bit dizzy. Despite strict order to get ground coffee, I brought home whole beans. I'm gonna have to grind them.
Our colds were worsening, JB phoned the doctor for an appointment Monday.

Sunday

Sunday, the kids did Facetime with me. They'd made Christmas cookies. Izzy showed me all that they had done setting out Christmas ornaments, etc. It's Josee's 12th birthday party next weekend. Gonna be fun! I love their sweaters!

Monday

My first chore was to get the garbage out by 8 a.m., but first I had to shovel the front step. Next, in for an 8:30 physiotherapy appointment for my bursitis. Yikes. I remembered to have some toast. It's been a long time since I've had to be human at that time of day!

Home again, I did the 100m driveway. That was fun. I was pretty fatigued.

Thank you, all, for asking how we are, and giving moral support.  We went to the doctor after lunch. Poor JB is so full of phlegm. I won't gross you out. He's tried all sorts of cough meds. We'e both had headaches from coughing so much.  I explained the difference between it being viral and bacterial. It was time.

We were behind RTRULOV going into town!
I'm on the mend. I might have an ear infection, but it'll heal sometime soon. My kids' GP used to look in their ears and say, "You have a fire engine in your ear!"

JB is on 'banana medicine', AKA Amoxicillin. He has some bacterial infection in his left lung, as well as sinusitis. The doctor gave him a Rx for a puffer, too. It should be a few days as he fights this. I'm just tired and taking it easy. I won't go to my client this week. Not only do I not want to give this to her, but the more I talk, the more I cough.

Out, in the night and in the snow. The buck came out after the snow.

Tuesday

This morning I fed the cats, fed the fish, started the very full dishwasher, and began a fire in the TV room. It's a bit chilly.

I tried to put the coffee grinder to work, but I'm ready to throw it out the window. Nothing is simple.

Oh, what a night!

For those who ask me about trailcams... the first was under the trees, but facing the wind. It pooped out on me when the lens was covered in snow. The 2nd one, in the open, was leeward.
That said, I have two very different videos!
Enjoy!

It was a wicked, snowy night. She was in the motion detector light.
I'm experimenting with trailcams. The one across from it (the light on the tree) was covered in snow all night!
