Pretty skies, Percy, walkies

There is something about  a sunset. This was Saturday night. Just lovely.

After the cold flash, and the snow, Percy is happy to see the sunshine. It is only 2 ℃ today Monday, and the thermometer in the goldfish pond says it is 0℃ but headed to 16℃. The three fish left will be good.

He is moving, following the sunshine. They don't seem hungry.

I took Cinnamon for a walk. He likes to check out Fred Groundhog's hole.

He flung himself up a tree. Not bad for a chubby lad!

We checked out the owl tree, but nothing there. See the green moss.
The wetland is melted, and soon I won't be able to see this far!

We've had quite a bit of windfall over the winter.

Along he goes, choosing our path.

He loves walking along the horizontal tree trunks. They are dryer than the forest floor. He gazes up at the birds flitting about the trees.

See the blue sky! All of the trees have little buds forming. Soon we will have our leaves back.

This is the cedar corridor. They are lovely trees.

Out back, the daffodils are tough, pushing up through the snow.

Cinnamon and I went walkies and spotted a Brown Creeper.

Beautiful photos of the morning sky. The photo of Cinnamon on the log is stunning - you could enter that into the cat rescue's calendar photo contest.

What a great walk. So glad Percy and his kind are doing ok with their bit of life in the wild. A friend with a pond who lives in warmer part of North Carolina has overwintered her fish with just a cover to the pool...though various animals want to eat the fish. Love Cinnamon's antics!

I'm so glad that Percy is hanging in there waiting for summer.

The eclipse was something to see even with heavy cloud cover! Looks like the kids really enjoyed themselves.

That speed up time lapse was pretty cool!

Looks like Spring has headed your way.
