Welcome to March. In a couple of weeks the clocks change. (Why-oh-why-oh-why-oh?) Here is the precipitation data from previous years:
This is part two of my post, from Saturday. We deferred our Christmas exchange until now. Just to be cautious with COVID and all. After our birthday lunch [Part 1: What a treat!] we hung out until Josephine had to go to her leadership camp on Zoom. She was at it from 12:30 to 6.
Josephine took some macro photos of the flowers JB sent me for Valentine's Day.
After lunch, Josephine kept on taking photos! I posted them to her photography album for the extended family to see. It's really difficult taking fishy photos!

There was dancing involved! Photos were taken, and I put them into a video, just for more action!
After a traditional turkey dinner, it was Christmas. What is fun is that the presents were bought and wrapped by early December. I didn't even remember what I'd wrapped, for the most part. It was a surprise for all. It was wonderful seeing them.
Isabelle gave me a painting of a heron she had done. It is lovely. I hung it up on Monday. A good time had by all.

Merry Christmas! What a happy time to be with family. The dancing videos made me smile. Josephine takes lovely photos.
Lovely to have the grandies back! Great photos Josephine! Thanks for the time change reminder, I have a dentist appt that Monday morning.
So you had Christmas without all the Christmas rush. Everybody was relaxed and enjoyed the festivities.
It is so nice to actually have some fun!
Love the fish photos!
Oh, what fun! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, too!
You look like you 're having such a good time dancing!
looks like you had a great time!
I think that you have just proved that Christmas is a state of mind rather than a fixed date, and celebrated in March is just as valid as a festival in December.
What a fabulous day! I loved the dancing and all the fun. I loved having Christmas late -- it made me enjoy it all the more! I think you might have, too. And Josephine is quite the photographer. Well done!
I loved reading both posts about your delayed celebrations. What a good time -- all well worth waiting for and it makes total sense that you did! (We are still being pretty careful, not going out to eat at all etc etc..... But feeling a bit better about going to the grocery store and other necessary stops since we've had our booster shots.
