Camera Critters

I'll be happier when we settle into Spring-like temperatures. The critters think it is Spring, but we expect snow tonight, with a cold front coming in.

Butch has woken from its slumber, and was cleaning up under the feeders.

You know it is spring when the turkeys get excited!

We have had 6 turkey hens on a regular basis. On Thursday, March 24th a male appeared. JB called me to the kitchen window. He seemed to like this harem, and was on full display. On Friday, there were two toms, as well as the 6 hens.

The song sparrow continues to celebrate spring. I sat on the front deck, watching spring unfold.

This is nothing new, deer in the forest, but I liked the way the setting sun shone on them. The little one nibbled on a sapling. They will be happier when they've more greens to eat.

Good for the turkeys, but except for the occasional glimpse, spring is taking it’s sweet time for the rest of us. 😀

Yes, we've been having a bit of way-warm temps this week...and the cynic in me worries it's too early for all that! No such fine critters to see as these though... YAM xx

We were seeing a lot of turkeys for a while but I haven’t seen any recently. You seem to have an entire flock! Your photos are very enjoyable.

Great to see all these critters...and as predicted, we're having frosty nights again! But so far no snow (at least at our elevation).

The weather has been up and down quite a bit but you have so many neat birds and critters there. I love seeing those big turkeys!

We got a couple of inches of snow last night. It won't last and it's pretty because it is the sticky kind -- but I'm over it!

Sunshine glancing through the trees and settling on the deer as they crunch along, beautiful.let some warmer days happen soon.

It's cold here, but I'd really like some spring temperatures too. Wouldn't mind seeing a Turkey or two and a Song Sparrow either.

Hello Jenn, :=) Weather temperatures are crazy here too, hot and sunny one day, but cold and windy the next. Your first photo of the Raccoon is so cute. Lovely shot of the deer with the sun shining on their coats, and bird song is always good to hear in Spring. I have also been listening to birdsong and a Woodpecker picking away at a nearby tree. Enjoyable video of the Turkeys. Their fan tails make them look "almost" attractive.
All the best.
