It might be a long winter!

Well, things are easing up here. Our colds are running their course. It's a long, slow process, though, with some setbacks. We're really taking it easy. Any exercise, and my lungs fill up. We've booked off sick next week, too. Hooray for sports and TV movies. Oh, and Angry Birds! My competitors are quite busy these days doing other things. I actually won a game!

I love data. I'm most often 2nd place.

I have to do groceries, but not on the weekend. I have to send some parcels, as well. Monday morning I'll get going. Maybe.

Trailcam Tales

This trailcam has begun to have issues. The button you push to open the battery holder is rusty. Seriously.

I've switched it from video to still photos.

Watch as she gets closer!

The better trailcam captured a doe walking by, closely followed by our buck. I think he is waiting for her to get into heat. Rutting season isn't over, yet! They are in heat for only 24 hours.

Road trip

I went to the auction house, again. It was Thursday, and I left at 3 p.m. I can't tell you what I bought, but three similar things for our three girls (Caitlin, Josephine –who turns 12 on Monday, and Isabelle). They were open from 4 - 6 p.m. for pick up.

It was a lovely drive, with lots of homes decorated for Christmas, and others that just look interesting.

I picked up a double order of fish and chips and ceasar salad for dinner. It lasted us two days. Yippee!
It's been cold, and getting colder then warmer. Weird weather patterns.

I'm wondering if I should clean off the driveway. There is some snow on the way. It's all going to melt, though. Sigh. I might just save my energy.

Hi Jenn :) Glad to hear you're starting to feel better! I've been lucky knock on wood. The photos are great! I love the video too, look at his antlers! We're in for the wacky weather too, I'm not going to bother shoveling until after the rain.

Love love love that trail cam. ... I have a feeling your girls are going to be lucky at Christmas! That Auction sounds fabulous. I hope you both recover from that darn cold soon.

My poor sister has been admitted to the hospital because her bug just would not let go. She has pneumonia.
Be prepared for a shock at the post office. I just about fainted when they told me how much to mail two boxes to my family in Toronto. I have one more to go to the big city and one to Peterborough. Postage is a killer!
The weather this week is looking deranged. Up and down and wet and dry.

Good to hear that you're both on the mend.

I'd say there was an early start to winter this year and right now the cold wind is howling outside. We have had snow on the ground since early November but the weather report is for warming up this week so we'll see what happens.

Yes, one does want to grocery shop on Monday instead of Sunday if possible.

I hope you didn't shovel; there should be some good melting today. Of course, you may have wanted to clear it before it all froze again.

A deer eye selfie. Who'd have thought?
