Trip to to the art show!

My friend, Alison, was showing her artwork. We took off for a visit to Carleton Place. Families were out enjoying the sunny day.

There were so many artists, and fine art. It was wonderful.

I really like Alison's art. She is a lovely person, too.

We met online through the Otty Lake Association, and the process to prevent the gun range from going in, and finally met in person.
May be art of 1 person and text

Alison is also showing her art through the Manotick Art Association. These pieces are up at the Greely library. These are my favourites!

The high school celebrated some of their student works. The variety of the art was amazing.

Off we went home. The river is high. People have fences up to keep out debris.

JB had the great idea to go to Law and Orders! This restaurant blew up one year, Feb., 2016. It was epic, and no one was hurt. It was something to do with the propane tanks. It is a popular place, and they rebuilt.

We were hungry, so were 3 hydro crews! It was lovely having a meal outdoors in the sunshine.

From there we set off for home. More rushing spring waters!

This was Carleton Place, last week after our lunch out. The water is powerful, fast, and ferocious.

Arriving home, and more time in the day, I did some raking of leaves. The garden work is coming along. Hopefully, we get our tree limbs cleaned up today. We just had snacks for dinner. We were pleasantly full!

Off I go, then, Monday morning garbage detail. It's only 9 C., and I shall bundle up! Have a great week.

I always like seeing what new ideas come from art shows...inspired people display thier efforts in different media. Yep, spring flood waters are all the thing...though this year we've been without, compared to 10 years ago. Glad you had a sunshine lunch!

We made the drive out to L&O once, but it was a long way to go for that sort of food.

The power of that water is scary.

This is really beautiful art.
The water flows really fast.
Here it is currently 20 celcius.

As I type it is -1C. We are going for a top of 12 or so today.
Good luck with the tree work.

Looks a lovely place and it must have felt so good sitting in the sunshine enjoying a meal. The rushing water in your video looks amazingly powerful.

Catching up! And I probably won't catch everything so I hope I didn't miss too much. But it all looks very good in your world. I love your outing and glad they rebuilt the restaurant.
