Kitten vet visit

They are quite the pair. The vets estimate they were born June 30, 2019.

Nutmeg's been playing in my plant. There was dirt and debris on the floor under the plant, behind the couch.

I put some dowels in the pot. It may have to go out. I've hung onto it for two years, putting it out in summer. I found her sitting in the plant, behind my little fence.

I took the kittens in for their shots. Kittens have two sets.

We made it into the examination room. They were quite comfortable. They lived here for a couple of weeks. They stayed over when we visited Ottawa for JB's birthday, as well.

So relaxed, they are grooming while listening to noise behind the door.

I was worried that they were hanging out near the door to the inner sanctum. I thought the vet would come in and knock them arse over teakettle. They'd be so upset. The vet, I mean. I put my booted foot beside the door, as they seemed to want to groom here. Poor Dr. Sara was so upset. She just bonked my foot. We had a good laugh. She's seen us through lots of cat issues.

Cinnamon, the male, sniffed every smell he could find. That deep sniffing, with his mouth open.

I love our Dr. Sara. She cut their nails, took their temperature (thermometer in the butt!), cleaned out their ears again (heaven knows where they were dumped in the country), and they were weighed.  Nutmeg is 5 lbs. 11 oz, Cinnamon is 7 lbs. 7. They had two needles to get them up to snuff. Then they had defleaing meds on them. We were good to go! Annabelle has to go in this month. It'll be fun seeing her weight. She LOVES that kitten food!

Meantime, on the trailcam. Two bucks were hanging out.

Two kittens -- twice the fun!. My granddaughter has been "socializing" kittens at an area humane society, an ideal activity for a budding crazy cat lady. I am hoping it will spur on to vet school.

Your kitties are adorable ~ think the plants might have to be put away from them ~ not good for them if they start chewing on them ~ Glad you have them ~ they are well cared for and loved.

Another fascinating ~ 'cam' shot ~
