the here and now

merganser
The mergansers won't be here long - they like the colder water. I managed to get a few shots of them taking off while canoeing, yes, canoeing yesterday! They have such beautiful colours.

It is so important to remain in the present. The seasons are so short, and time passes ever so quickly. They say this is due to the learning curve. We lay down heavy memories in our youth as we learn new things. The more we learn, the more we use these neural pathways as we repeat our activities. The same pathways, along these dendrites, can be used by our brains as we process music and math, for example.

It seems as if all nature, humans, creatures, the land, sea and air, are all grateful that spring is unfolding as it should, as it has for our time.

The birds and bees, as our cats, seem incredibly happy with warmer temps.

The birds and animals are waking up. The muskrat had amuskrat and dove bit of a difficulty with Eddie & Eva dominating the pile of cracked corn. I managed a photo of the muskrat in the dusk, and then Eddie & Eva arrived from somewhere off in the distance.

The ducks and doves were unfazed. They work their way around the geese.

Our robins are happily bopping around on the clover. Last night I heard the spring peepers, too.

Hi Jenn, they're back :) All of the wonderful birds and 'critters' are back. I love when the beach wakes up. The next three months are usually so wonderful :)

Great photos Jenn
