Polar Bunny swim

Photobucket

Nestled in a blanket of dead leaves, their little heads are popping up between the dull browns.

Our 8" of snow last week didn't bother them. The Lenten Lily and the crocus are warm and blooming like crazy.

Speaking of crazy...

Jesse decided to do a Polar Bunny Swim today.

And I have the video to prove it!

Did he lose a bet? I can think of no other motivation for that kind of insanity.

We just said, crows don't hatch canaries, although sometimes they hatch cuckoos! It's all in the genes.

Actually, he's an up and coming 20-something actor, a bit of a free spirit.

My cousins always bragged about swimming one Easter back in the 60s or 70s.

That looks like a cold swim, probably colder than our Polar Bear swim conditions at the beach here in Powell River on New Years Day. Brrrrr but fun! - Margy

That's what my husband says. He's done it when he lived in Vancouver. Our son is young and lots of fun.

He is braver than I am. A fun video and photos of your son taking his dip. I hope his hot shower did the trick. Great flower photos also and wanted to thank you for sharing them. Didn't realize we were going to get an added bonus and so I leave your blog smiling.

I admire people who do polar bear swims but have no intention of joining them. I'm glad your snow and ice is melting.
