It's been awfully cold. I haven't ventured too far into the forest. The walking in knee-deep snow is horrid.
The red squirrels are having no trouble at all.
I've moved the trailcam to sit beside the house. The walking is treacherous, and knee-deep without snowshoes. I'm still figuring out the camera, and it still shows F. not C., but I'm working on it.
The buck Henry is looking pretty regal! I'll bet he drops his antlers shortly. For more critters: Saturday's Critters # 423 visit Eileen's blog.

Hello Jenn,
Cute photos of the squirrels and your kitty.
I love seeing the deer. It is so cold here, I hope the critters are staying warm. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
I enjoyed your clips of critters...starting with Mr. Cinnamon!
The deer and snow is simply fabulous!
loved the cat’s posture, and that squirrel could sure scurry.
...it's too cold here to be out for very long!
I love all your critters. Your cat sitting on its haunches trying to look over the snow is great. Our fat little cat does a similar move sometimes trying to look out the window.
Those squirrels are smart.
Cinnamon, you need stilts!!! Too much snow to be safe out there, it looks very solid and slippery. Love the magnificent man with those antlers, he is indeed regal.
I enjoyed these very much Jenn
The critters look great. The snow looks great but hard work.
Keep up with the sketching of the mouse, you'll get there.
Cinnamon looks so cute looking over the mounds of snow! Stay warm...you and all those critters!
The little squirrel is a cutie.
I always wonder how the animals and birds keep warm in these frigid conditions. Adorable video of Cinnamon on patrol and I enjoyed the others with the deer. That’s a handsome looking buck. Thanks for sharing these photos and videos, like looking through your window. Stay safe and warm :)
These are so special! It seems the deer never sleep! Are the squirrels sleeping inside the tunnels they build? That's a lot of digging just to avoid walking on top of the snow. Linda in Kansas
Interesting videos as always! Nice to see the critters coping the harsh winter.
Those squirrels look pretty small! And very cute. I love watching them run around and chase each other!
I haven't seen snow like that since I moved from Colorado. Here our bigger problems in winter are shallower depths of snow melting and freezing overnight into a layer of ice, sleet and freezing rain that can cause quite a lot of damage. The red squirrel is so cute. I love the video of Cinnamon peeking over the snow.
Yes, I can imagine that walking in knee-deep snow is horrid!
I enjoyed seeing this collection of critters.
All the best Jan
Nice pics of the squirrels. Love the video with the deer and the snow. Always amazing to watch them.
