It's that time of year!

When the kids were here last, they went out for a walk. I just upgraded my OS and this showed up in my photostream.  This is another favourite climbing tree for cats, as well as humans!

The bird feeders out and the birds have been busy. It's a bit tilted because of the bear bending it a few years ago!

These mechanical fish have been a hit. The clown pants continue to be fun.

Nutmeg turtles, Cinnamon snuggles!

The goldfish are doing well. The white one continues to hang in. It feeds well, so I think it'll last a little bit longer! The big guy is doing well, AKA Percy Piranha, and eating up a storm. I have both small and large pellets for a well-balanced meal.

We had a massive dump of rain yesterday: 36 mm (1.43"), massive for us, I guess.

🐻SNUGGLE Bears

We've been racking our brains for new Snuggle Bear ideas. Somebody in my house is learning meditation for relaxation – using guided meditation podcasts. It's really difficult. I took several in-person courses and it never really took! I find my walking meditations, forest bathing works for me.

I hope Percy isn't going to be one of those goldfish that turns out to be a small carp!

I have never been able to meditate either. My brain wanders all over the place.

That was a lot of rain.

Jenn - glad you got some good precipitation, especially if it came down steadily and soaked in rather than running off the land and taking the dirt with it! I love your bear series, so keep up the great work with the new ideas! Maybe you could ask your readers for suggestions. How about "Bears go trick or treating"?

It was a lot of rain for sure! It is sunny in Toronto today. Counting steps while walking is kind of my meditation.

Trying too hard is the problem with meditation. It's like easy. Just let it go. Just let the parade of thoughts parade on by you just don't pay much attention to it. Keep returning to your breath or whatever it is your focusing on. Simple! It's a natural thing that babies and all of us do in odd moments. Meditation or mindfulness should not be difficult it is its opposite. Wishing you all the best my friend as always!

You have a lot going on. Taking your fish inside for the winter!! A therapist for my son suggested using the Muse biofeedback device for him for meditation. It costs about $200 and uses a phone app. Son used it and I don't know if he likes it or not (he says he does but...) I love it so when he took his to school, I took my change jar and cashed it in and bought me one and I love it.

I like the bear stories. You gave me the idea and now I'll mix my big and small pellets to feed my fish.

Actually, we have a bit of a drought here in Hawaii. We could sure use some of your rain.
I understand there's going to be Northern Lights this weekend. I'll bet you'll get to see some gorgeous colors.
