Saturday's Critters

Saturday's Critters # 452: Thanks to Eileen for hosting!

In the dusk, a buck appeared.

August 3rd, in the back yard.

I had moved the camera and found him in the backyard.

There are a couple of bucks. One of them has had an incident of some sort.

Can you see her in the frame? She follows the momma, but not right away!

I heard the coyotes Friday morning, August 12th, around 2:30. It is quite erie.

We've been watching the hornet's nest.

The birds are fewer and farther between. The cardinal is calling and I think he's still nesting.

It's difficult enough IDing some birds. When they are wet, it is even harder!

I would just love to visit you and see all of these critters. You really do have your own preserve right there at your house. Love the doe and fawn!

I love seeing birds with spread wings!
You can make or buy a fake wasp nest to hang and real wasps won't build anywhere near it. To make one, get a strong paper bag, fill it with crumpled other bags so it looks puffy, tie it at the top and hang it. or buy ones online that will withstand weather better than a paper bag.

Love those deer! I'm so behind from having guests (and more to come) and will probably not catch up with all of you but just saying hi and love those critters!

Must be wonderful living in an area with so many wild critters. Your videos are always interesting to view. That Paper Wasp nest is a thing of beauty.

I have seen this kind of wasp nests but not this big. It is actually beautiful.
