Saturday's Critters

We just had a huge storm, 51 mm rain in two days. With this came a warming trend, so the tree frogs are still out and about.

I've been saving up videos. We noticed Thursday, September 23rd, that the fawn has now lost its spots. They had spots on September 13th. We've been doing some COVID-safe day trips, so I'm a bit slow to upload these.

First up are the wonderful tree frogs.  Can you see the two wee ones? There is one on the far left, the other on the far right.

There are two large adults, as well. I like just watching them. They are nocturnal, and do a nappie thing all day. Here is one of the large tree frogs. I find it so calming!

The birds are still bathing in the water fountain. That'll be another fall chore, to drain and dry it, then cover it up for winter. You can hear the tree frogs on the deck, near me, while the bird is bathing.

Of course, you can't have fawns without bucks!

Hello,

Great critters post, the little frogs are cute. I always enjoy seeing your deer and turkeys. If we have a bad winter, I have a heated bird bath to keep fresh water for the winter birds. Great videos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

I love your tree frogs. Wish we had some but they would have to climb to the roof deck. ;-)

Our drives are so good for our soul. Now that we are avoiding restaurants, we have more cash for gas! (Lets hope we don't see shortages like the UK is having!!!) We are heading on a fall color tour today, toward Golden Lake then on to Barry's Bay and back through Wilno.

About 115 mm or 11.5 cm here for those 2 days.

Your frogs, love the talking? chirping? they do. And the turkey, yesterday we went for a drive, the first long one for all this year, and had to slow down to an almost stop to wait for a HUGE turkey to move off the road.Your bird bath, that little one so enjoyed the dip.

The weather doesn't know what to do! We have changed to less humidity which helps...still in the 80s for highs though. Love see all of your critters there. Thanks for always sharing them. Happy weekend!

We've been having rain and grim weather, too. But you have seen far lovelier creatures than I! Oh, especially the deer!

Those tree frogs are so cute. I don't think I've seen any frogs these last couple of years.
