We haven't been in double digits overnight yet. We're getting close, though.
It's such a wonderful time of year, SPRING! All the returning birds are lovely to see. The song birds, the insect eaters, are a bright spot in my day. I've mentioned the rose-breasted grosbeaks, but the sounds of the forest are amazing. Phoebe is still working on the nest.
Down at the frogpond, there is only one active wood duck nesting box out of the three.
I've been trying not to disturb her, but she was feeding on the pond, flew away. We went to check on the nest. The eggs are well-covered.
Usually, the eggs look like this.
This is an old video using the snake scope.

In the backyard, a wild turkey was having a dust bath. She is a regular visitor.

Hello,
A great critter post, loved the photos and videos. The Wood Duck at the box is my favorite. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend! Take care and stay safe! PS, thank you for the visit and comment on my blog!
...it's nice to see the duck poking her head out of the house!
It is nice to see life returning ... in the trees and plants too.
Great variety of critters today. there was a very small bunny who appeared to be nibbling on an aloe plant in my driveway this morning. I had never seen anything near the aloe plant before so that has me curious.
"really cold"? Well, we had it really hot this week - almost 40 degrees Celsius!!
Lots of neat critters entertained you this week. I didn't know a wood duck would nest in a box like that! How funny to see it up there instead of a songbird! Have a good weekend! Hugs!
Fantastic to see the Wood Duck in it's nest box.
I love the pic of the Wood Duck peeking out of the box!
You are so blessed with all the fascinating critters and love your photos and video ~ The nest is so intriguing ~ thanks, ~ Happy Weekend to You ~ Xox

Your overnight is much like ours, except ours will go down~~~ Love those feathery nests, so soft and warm.
Very active around your place with the critters.
Hello. Interesting post. The last video is my favorite. Stay safe.
Those cameras of yours are doing some sterling work. A good investment I think?
