Roses are pink

Family is love
All in a circle

Seeing an advert from a floral company I use, I got all excited. I know moms are working hard, and thought my daughter could use a boost. Working moms are juggling it all. Caitlin is working from home, as is my SIL, and my sons.
It's funny that I ordered them online last Monday, to be delivered Thursday. I didn't want to phone and let her know. I like the surprise. No word all day Thursday. I know with COVID things are quite a mess or delayed. By Friday afternoon, I phoned my SIL to let him know they were to arrive, and had to leave him a voicemail. I was getting concerned.
The kids were staying overnight in a hotel, as they were having house repairs and had to be out for 24 hours. I got an email message saying the flowers been delivered. No word from Caitlin. They have a front door camera and hadn't had anything come.
I was so upset. I had a good cry. It helped.
Finally, the kids confirmed they'd arrived. The kids had to go back to the house to put them in water!
They aren't quite pink, though.
We exchanged presents in the parking lot Friday. Caitlin made me a card, and gave me two hanging baskets and a big box. I opened the box today, a new pair of rain boots!
I made her a heart hanging. I saw it on a kids' art ideas page, except as a wreath. I didn't have the patience for that!
Our week was done.

Happy Mother's Day to you!
I saw the Snowbirds flying by twice this morning - I seemed to be the only one out on the street at the time so it was like a private showing! ;-)
