Wetland Warriors

Sunday morning Daisy and I took a wonderful walkabout. Not only Forest Bathing, but Wetland Bathing. It was 6:30 a.m.! She decided to leap across the water, which I captured on video!  The birds are amazing, I recorded their songs: Early morning bird song,  the buds bursting forth from sleep.

Then there is Mac Muskrat. I thought he'd gone from the frog pond, but he is living in one of the piles of cat tails, suitably renovated, with an entrance under water.

Not only that, but at 'The Point,' which juts out into the wetland on another part of our property, there is another muskrat home. The cat tails had just about grown in, but they are reclaiming the water!

Back up at the house, we spotted a pair of deer, quite keen on seeing what was going on.

You live on such an amazing piece of property! Absolutely as good as living in a State Park -- all these animals and birds and water that most of us have to get into a car to go see. It is really wonderful and thank you for sharing.
