NaPoWriMo Day 8 – flowers

Day 8
Finding a flower, and versifying in its honor. Happy writing!

What's your favourite flower?
Of this I am assured
Whichever I see bloomin'
That one I am preferred

Awaiting darling crocus
Despite the falling snow
Little heads are peeking
Faces soon will show

Next will be the primrose
The cool they do not mind
Next daffies and the tulips
Till then I close the blind.

It has been a long time, but I remember seeing crocuses poking up amidst the snow when I was growing up in Pittsburgh. Loved your poem and photos; they brought make some nice memories.
