My Good Fortune
"Your life is about to change"
that was my fortune
emerald-green ducks
bursting through the latitudes
harbingers foreshadowing spring
ready, set, go
jaunting down to the pond
warming my cold heart
tidings of a short winter vanish
feeling similarly short-tempered
C'mon spring, bloom
hail smashes into my fun
leading me into a funk
April showers me arse

Day 13
Yesterday's hail, and trailcam photos, inspired my poem. Yes, April is such a crap shoot!
I’d like to challenge you to beat the bad luck away with a poem inspired by fortune cookies. Or you could use a phrase you’ve actually received in a real fortune cookie as a title or first line.

April showers? What's that?
You'll get a lot of poetry out of these exercises.
