We were headed to Mississippi Mills

It was Sunday, April 17th.  I dedicate this post to hubby who drives, allowing me to take photos! Our day trips take our minds off our Buster, too.

We took a drive, hopefully heading to Mississippi Mills for bird seed, but I led us astray. I mistakenly plugged Carleton Place into Gillian GPS! Then, we tried to avoid highway #7, since drivers in baseball caps and pick-up trucks are hellbent to break the land speed record. It wasn't a very straight line, but a typical drive that we enjoy. Temple's Sugar Bush restaurant was packed!

It was a beautiful spring day. There were lots of people out and about: on motorcycles, working in yards, on a jetski on the river, horseback riding, or just hanging out.

What do you think he is doing?!

In Almonte, we walked Riverwalk bridge and went over to the pub. It was PACKED with people. The first time we've eaten outdoors this year. It was glorious.Thankfully, they had enough servers, and were prepared for the crowds!

The snowmobile trail, former lytrain tracks, are closed.

Burn ban is on, with the quick snow melt and dry leaves and grasses.

Almonte is such a nice town. We do that riverwalk several times a year. Wolfgrove Road is a nice drive, especially in autumn.

Beautiful shots! Since it's the NBA playoffs, I wonder if that fellow's trying to get some prognosticating done.

Discovery drives like this are always good therapy for whatever ails me! And I too appreciate a husband who drives!
