Spring is early

🧸Bear Watch

To answer your question, tz_garden, the bears come out from hibernation in spring. They go to their summer territory, and then the mothers or potential male mates, kick out the two-year-olds to find their own territory. That's when we see them migrating through the area looking for new habitat. I do have to put the bird feeders away at that point. The trailcams help me determine when, as well as community FB pages.

I was outside before breakfast the other day and ran my 🐦Birdnet App as I couldn't identify the songs. A brown creeper! I didn't venture out, though. We had a bit of rain (17 mm) Saturday/Sunday, and I wasn't about to go outdoors on an adventure!

On the day before the storm, our Golden Arch, lovely in the sunset.

We are all set for a green March, which is fitting for St. Patrick's Day. We live in an area with a lot of Kellys, and other people of Irish heritage, like JB.

Well, the Harlequin Tabby cat hasn't shown up. We do have Mice Friends, though!

The official Crumbly Acres camera had a Spider Friend. I cleaned it off, and sprayed some Pam on the top.

The deer are eating moss in the Cedar Corridor. The thumbnail image shows Prince Harry, whose ear has a split. It happened late in the winter., Jan. 21st. This is the only way to tell them apart, aside from their behaviour.

The tulips are beginning, a tad early. It's going to be below zero ℃ tonight.

Hello,
There are some places in the south the bears do not hibernate.
Love the deer. Yay for the tulips!
Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week ahead.

Have you seen the deer with the sore leg? I hope he has survived.

Oh my, Prince Harry has little buds of antlers coming out! So sweet. I imagine this is the starving time for animals...just nothing left until things start to sprout!

Spring is very welcome everywhere this year, even in locations that had an unusually warm and dry winter! I’m glad to see a few flowers even though there was a light snowfall last night.

Lovely signs of Spring!
A 'green March" will be more than welcome.

Hi, Pam here, coming to you after visiting Jim and Barb. I learned that last yr about the moms kicking out the two yrs old when middle TN had a couple of bears roaming around in residential neighborhoods. We don't have that in middle TN. It was an adventure following them via the news.

I love all your critters that pass by your place. Bears would be a little much for me although I know people down here in the USA who have them in the neighborhood.

My trailcam photos are even more boring than before. We got a new fence in the back yard which is fine but our little pomeranian could squeeze through the bunny holes so screwed some screens to the bottom of the fence. Keeps the dog in the backyard but the rabbits and raccoons can't visit any longer.

When I see a golden arch, I also expect to encounter burgers.
