Barred owl has been a regular visitor! This was March 14.

I went back the next day and found an owl pellet! I dissected it to find out what s/he has been eating. Probably a vole!

Excellent capture of the Barred Owl...hand held video no less! Glad to see Archie again, and I dare say he can be in a tree whenever the coyotes catch up with him. Good there are others of his kind around as well. And a fox! Wow!
We have one lonely lad wandering around looking for love in all the wrong places.
Snow today is not as appealing as snow in early December.
I said it before and will again -- I really love that heron statue!
I hope the turkeys don't meet the coyotes. The sun is strong here today so may melt some of the snow.

Those are some huge coyotes! I used to dissect owl pellets when I was young. I have not found one in a very long time. What a cool find for you!

Sorry to hear about your snow, and hope it disappears quickly, as well as warmer temperatures. It’s been chilly and rainy down in our part of Virginia, but not quite as cold. Absolutely love your bird sculptures and other table decorations! Great to see the barred owl, interesting about the pellet. Good to know Archie didn’t have any run ins with the coyotes. Nice! I used to dissect owl pellets with my kids, we had so much fun figuring out what the bones could be.
On our trail cam recently, we had deer, turkey, raccoon, bobcat, and coyotes all using the same trail at different times.
Great observation!
Hopefully you are not going to get tons more of snow.
