We are hanging in here. It's going to be a busy week with appointments. We schedule them when we are not caregiving grandies. We took it easy on the weekend, except Saturday our food order was scheduled. I made a few mistakes. It's rather funny. I ordered both a single avocado and a bag of them. Also, instead of small bottles of spices, I got the biggies. Finally, I ordered a full pot pie, for Jos for next week instead of a single serving size, and mistakenly ordered the family-sized lasagna. That's too much for us. JB cannot have either. That fine print!
Everything has been waking up, two-legged friends are flying back from their winter homes, four-legged friends are more active. I've set up a camera at the frog pond. The ducks are back.
Cinnamon frogging was happy to accompany me down to the pond. There were wood frogs mating. He was fascinated. I watched him, as I walked up the hill he remained on the dock just wishing he could reach them.
The deer are busy. They've been mulching my iris in the back yard (below). Happily, they are leaving my daffodils alone. Our little bunny has been nibbling my tulips. Ah, nature!
The Running deer are going in circles around the big pine tree in the back. The yearlings are quite ready for spring. There was a brief sighting of Chad📹.
First phoebe of the season, April 4th. It would have been my mom's birthday, in 1925. You can laugh at the excitement in my voice. We need all the excitement we can get. 1st phoebe
Yesterday, we began our first Western Chorus Frog survey. It's a challenge.

You have reminded me that we forgot to make final additions to our grocery order yesterday. We had until midnight to do it for tomorrow's pickup. The system has worked well for us on the whole, but I look forward to roaming to store in person and picking out the things that most appeal to me.
...the hawk is quite a sight.
Great variety of critters. We could not grow tulips here, they were always eaten by some critter, maybe a groundhog. Have a great day and a happy new week!

As always, quite the show! YAM xx
The local Cardinal has been singing away like crazy!
Online shopping, I was happy when my order was the same as my list, one store let you do the order, and return to alter, add or delete items. My body clock has not adjusted to the NO daylight saving, I still wake up at the same time, now 4.30 a.m. instead of 5.30 a.m. Oh well, in time it will sort itself out. Do you have daylight saving Jenn?? Maybe JB can tell me where it goes when it is saved!!!
It's a wonderful time of year!
Thank you for this super variety of critters ...
Our tulips are doing well here, Spring has certainly sprung, although we are going to have a few cool nights of -2C / -3C which of course is nothing compared to some of the temperatures you experience!
Hope the week ahead goes well for you.
All the best Jan
there is much going on but sad that most people miss it.
Looks like spring is definitely headed your way. Have a great week!
We do have daylight savings, Jean. There is talk about getting rid of it.
We pretty much do what the US does...
Jenn - you had several posts since I last visited, but of course I had to look at the one with the critter photos. Yay, spring! Lots of critters returning! Earlier this week I saw a female spotted towhee for the first time! I loved all your photos and videos!
