Forest walkies

It's been peculiar weather. Usually, we are frozen solid. You can see the greenery in the wetland. I went back, after this was taken and we had colder temperatures. It froze as is!

Cinnamon is a Lanark boy! He peed there the day before, as well!
I let him out the front door. A doe and yearling were quite concerned, you can see them in the background outside. Cinn fled to shelter under the tree.

We went walkies...

Look at the mice tracks!

This is a tree I've been watching. It's splitting in the "Y" and I keep hoping it'll be OK!

You know it is winter when you find deer beds in the snow. They hunker down and have a nap. They have interesting schedules, feeding, resting, chewing their cud, at all hours of the day and night. I find it really fun, being able to see what has happened in the dark.

Back to the house we went.

Happy cats, watching TV with us! Behind them is the cross stitch my daughter did for my mother.

Hello,

Cute captures of your sweet Kitties. I love the deer too, they are shy critters here. Great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend! PS, thank you for the comment and visit.

It must be wonderful to have a home where you are. It looks wonderful with all the snow, and the deer and your fur-family enjoying that snow. That last photo is precious!

Hi Jenn :) Happy cats indeed!! I love your deer photos...I'm so envious of what you see in Nature every day. I really thought there would be more wildlife around here. We see the occasional critter, but not as much as I had hoped for!!

What an active yard you have there, Jennifer. I especially love that head study of the young deer showing the tip of it's tongue.

That's a big top to that cat tree. Our single cat overflows hers.
