Wood ducks, sparrow, deer

What a glorious day! I did some gardening, cleaned out the birdbath, weeded.

On the way down to the frog pond, I spotted a Baltimore Oriole.

When I went down to the frog pond, one female wood duck. They are very wary, as they should be.

They are too fast for the trailcam! She sat on top of the nesting box for a bit.

They've a goodly number of eggs.

White-headed sparrow was thirsty.

The deer!

Hi jenn,

Wonderful videos. Love the wood ducks. I was thinking the first bird and video looked more like a Scarlet Tanager, with the red body and black wings. I could be wrong. Enjoy your day!

The Baltimore Oriole's give a nice splash of colour next to the greens.

I hope your trail cam gets all the little wood ducks leaving the box.

Jenn - so excited that you saw an oriole. I've had my feeder out for a couple of weeks - still hoping! Don't you just love it when the deer get that close to the camera? I always wonder what they are thinking! Enjoy the lovely weather!
