Junco, goldfinch, nuthatch, deer, mourning doves

These birds were taking turns, sitting on the catalpa plant. My front porch feeder is filled with treats.
Meanwhile, in the backyard, Bambi sits in the sun, trying to get warm. They share the bird feeder with the mourning doves! Baby Bambi, a yearling, is all fuzzy, puffed up to keep warm. I watched as it began to stand up, ready for anything. I think they look at me as if I am nuts, outside hauling in wood in housecoat and jammies!
Saturday's Critter party is up, join in and post your critters.

Great collection of birds and I love the deer. A nice feeder for the birds, the Nuthatch is one of my favorites. Thank you for linking up with Saturday's Critters. Have a happy weekend!

Looks like you have a front row seat for seeing lots of critters without leaving the comfort of your home. ;))

Cute nuthatch photos. It's a nasty snowy and windy day here, white out conditions and just perfect for staying home and watching the world through the windows ... if you can see out for the snow that is on them. :)

Goldfinches don't overwinter here. I would be curious to know if goldfinches have traditionally over wintered in Ontario or is this just recent?

These are super Jenn, particularly love the one where the tit (?) is taking flight to the left and the other one's going "seed to your three o'clock and 2 yards to zero!!" Heheh. YAM xx

I'm sure they have overwintered, Red. They are one of those tricky birds who change colour in winter. They adore bird seed, too.
