Well, the weather outside is frightful!

Such drifting of snow!
It's collected and overhanging
the eavestrough.

another chilly night
The cats are having a hard time. It warmed up yesterday, just below 0 C., but the snow I'd shoveled off of the deck had returned.

Buster was let outside through the back door and simply roared around to the front door, meowing to be let in!
It's like toddlers, good exercise to get them into their snowsuits, in order to spend 10 minutes outdoor!
Snow squalls? Ya think?

Snow Squall Warning for: Smiths Falls - Perth - Eastern Lanark County
ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 3:23 PM
"Snow squalls with frequent sudden white out conditions continuing late this afternoon over Eastern Ontario and snow squalls developing this evening east of Lake Huron."
Two cats, happily nestled in!
This morning we're back into the cold.
It's Sunday, I suppose there is no rush. I'll have my coffee, shovel the steps, feed the critters, and then attack the driveway. Hubby, with the sore foot and back, can fetch me water as I work!

Mind you, hubby is up, coffee machine isn't working. Minor crisis. I've dug out the pot my mother used to use. An old fashioned percolator.
Good to see
the sunrise!

I have a bo-bo.
Dorah objected to having her nails clipped.
Nadal, playing tennis, has had a sore hand, too.

Yeah at least you don't have to put a snowsuit on the cat!

That's pretty severe, for sure. Meanwhile, back in the 'old country' am still waiting for the winter everyone tells me about. So far we have had nothing very much worse than we got in Sydney all my years there!! Am sure that will change. One day. YAM xx

My daughter said they're cancelling school for a second day tomorrow in Chicago. This is really unprecedented. I can't remember a year that we had more than two snow days when I was teaching there... and this is for cold.
