Houston, we have a problem!

The joy of living in the country is its critters. I had a mission. I'd noticed that the Crumbly Acres camera was a bit cloudy. Out I went with some window cleaner. It looked like ghosts, but it's just my spidery friends spreading their webs.

There were issues. First I had to convince the wasp that it needed to leave.

You can see where the rain has left mineral deposits.

I successfully persuaded the wasp to take off. That looks much better!

I had to readjust it, as it fell forward. It turned out to be a good position! There is a little bolt that I needed to tighten. Back indoors! Sadly, I forgot to grab my cleaning cloth. I had to use the hem of my dress!

When I worked in Security at a Power Plant, we had some tilt, shift, zoom cameras that would always get wasps on it them in the fall. We'd watch them crawl all around the camera. They were sometimes more interesting than watching a pile of coal.

Neat cameras to watch the outside world.

Hopefully the wasp doesn't return - with friends to establish a nest! Love that amera however. What wonderful things it must record!

Very summery dress, and put to good use.

Tom's comment is right on the money. Glad that the wasp didn't resist eviction.

We have mice in the garage trying to trap them.

Spiders are the bane of all of us who run camera traps, but they sure are interesting critters.

Your labors keeping your trailcams going do yield good videos! I hope you think it’s worth it.

I guess your wasp wanted to be on camera to be filmed. I'm glad you were able to stay safe.

That's great to get your camera lens clean and pointed right! Now for seeing who comes visiting!

Your camera requires a lot of upkeep but gives awesome results.

Wasps sting Jenn! You must know their secret language (and actually that wouldn't surprise me a bit "knowing" you as I do from your posts about Crumbly Acres! I look forward to the next pictures from the very clean trail cam!
