Turkeys in the sunrise

Our entertainment is pretty limited these days.  Last night we had snow, and a bit of freezing rain. It looked a lot worse than it was! Just a few cm. The snow plow has been by, thankfully.

Happily, yesterday there was sunshine.

Then there are the turkeys in the front yard! They have cleared out under the bird feeders.
Hubby cleverly put some deer feed on the ice at the end of the driveway. The turkeys happily scraped the ice to make it less slippery.

I liked this one, setting in beside Guinevere, the dragon, who is up to her neck in snow.

This little deer was intent on herding the turkeys. It happened several times. I ran for the camera. It was priceless. I taped it from the kitchen window. You can hear cats chewing brekkie, me giggling. Around 1:05, Hooper indicates he should be fed, and wants my attention. JB banged something, I forget what.

You do get some winter entertainment out there.
The new cat is giving us some diversion hereabouts.
We also met friends for coffee yesterday and will meet another couple today after exercise class.
We keep on keeping on.

Loved the video of the deer herding the strutting toms. How interesting about the turkies scratching the driveway ice. Another excellent post!

HAH - who needs television when you've got such sights from your windows?!! (All they lack is the stone and brush and you could have a curling match...) YAM xx

Oh my, you've captured some amazing wildlife Jenn. I love how those turkeys fan out their tails like that. The deer is really pretty too, especially standing out in all that snow.

Wonderful shots of those turkeys ... they do look gorgeous wagging their tails in the sunrise. I'd sit and watch them too.
Enjoyed your video too thanks Jenn :D)

It is fun to see the deer and turkeys in such close proximity.

All the clicks and banks are what makes amateur video fun.
