"Helen phoned yesterday after she got home and Daisy May was fine. She had lots of visitors and wasn't upset by Helen's absence. Apparently she likes being on top of cupboards.... "It's not a surprise! Daisy loved climbing trees.
The deer and turkeys hang around. The deer love their selfies.
Then, in the night, the coyote.
Back up the hill, these are two of the 641 photos on the trailcam!
See the little turkey head?!
The ice cover has been phenomenal, and awful walking. I finally made it down to the trailcam, Feb. 7.
Up top... the boys are getting frisky!
It is fun, the turkeys keep the deer on their toes. The younger deer are quite fascinated by the turkeys. The young uns are quite playful, still.

Hello,
I am happy that Daisy May is doing well in her new home. Love all your critter photos. The Coyote is cool, I guess he/she is looking for food.
The deer are so cute, great capture of the turkey and deer. Thank you so much for linking up your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend.
Glad Daisy is doing well.
Fun to see the turkey flapping.
Good to hear Daisy May is settling intoner new home. We saw the big flock of turkeys for the first time the other day, haven't seen them for ages.

heheheeh, loving the 'to camera' shots!!! Glad to hear DM is finding her new 'highs' &*> YAM xx
There are some scary critters out at night! How great to see them on the trail cam. I look for tracks everywhere I go! Happy weekend!
The interactions of deer and turkeys are fun to see.
I'll bet you're happy about the kitty in the new place.
I really hate to see cats outdoors. They decimate songbird populations.
Well, David, that is your opinion. We don't know how many songbirds there are, nor how many outdoor cats. It all depends upon one's location, season, climate and weather. When we go walkies in the forest there aren't any birds.
We can estimate it, but that isn't data. This is data. Our cats are mostly after rodents, which abound.
It is not a question of opinion. Study after study after study has confirmed it. See for example: https://www.audubon.org/news/cats-pose-even-bigger-threat-birds-previously-thought
Few cat owners admit that their cats take songbirds - but they do!
My poor dog has an awful time with that ice coat on top of the snow. She's heavy enough to break through. She can't run and play in the snow now.
Jenn - glad to hear Daisy is making a new home for herself. I love your turkey photos - we have not seen any around our house since November; I think they are hanging out down the road at the neighbor that feeds them (she also has chickens). Frisky means chicks in the spring!
Daisy May is cute! She is amazing at climbing trees. Love that tail and the last photo of here!
