The forest has its ebbs and flows. The seasonal changes I truly enjoy.
We have a couple of acres cleared, on three lots totalling 16 Acres. We don't often get critters in during the day. Red fox
Butch Raccoon often comes by. We are careful with garbage and bird seed.
There are three tom turkeys hanging about. Do you think they know Thanksgiving approaches? Ours is next weekend in Canada. We are going to have Thanksgiving tonight for health reasons.
I spotted them sitting out back.
They were down by the frog pond, as well. I can often hear them talking to one another, even when I can't see them.

I spotted a fox lurking near the van the other evening... not seen since, of course, now that I have the lens at the ready! Love that second turkey video in particular... YAM xx
The turkeys are looking for a place to hide in your immense space!
That reminds me, we saw a fox at the top of the parking lot of the apartments, where woods exist behind the fence. It just stood there looking down at us, and then trotted on by. What a surprise! Love your turkeys with their conversations!
I would love to see a wild turkey.
Turkeys are kinda messy in the yard so it is a good thing they stay further away!
It is your fox that I love most today.
What a lovely glimpse into your corner of nature! It sounds like you have a wonderful variety of wildlife around your property. The red fox must be a beautiful sight, and it's great to hear you have some turkeys keeping you company—how fitting with Thanksgiving just around the corner!
Seasonal changes help to make things interesting. I can't believe that we are so close to Thanksgiving.
Videos about turkeys are my favorites.
It’s interesting how turkeys repopulated a number of areas in the US where they had disappeared for many years. We now see them quite frequently. I wonder if it’s different in Canada.

I'm always so amazed at your wild turkeys. They look so big.
