Saturday's Critters

Conditions are terrible over the past few days. Rain on top of the snow. It is awful walking.

I moved the frogpond trailcam, just to switch things up. I noticed that they were following the edge of the wetland, searching for food.

The deer just roll on through.

I've heard people sighting the coyotes on the nearby frozen lake. They are certainly active here. I would expect that it is the same pack.

They are beautiful, healthy beasts, seldom seen in the day time.

Hello,

The coyotes seem to be regular visitors there. I love the deer videos, they do not seem shy. They run away quickly when they see people here.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment!

A joy, as always, to watch these clips. The coyotes do indeed look well-fed and sleek of fur, but the deer are looking mighty fine too! YAM xx

..searching for food is the name of the game in winter.

Walking right by them and the deer aren’t bothered.

The animals all look pretty healthy. Wonder what they are finding to eat.

Hello Jenn :=)
Awesome trail cam footage. Be careful not to slip on the icy snow.
Take care
All the best.

Good rainboots are a must.

The animals don't see to mind the cold but it would be hard for me to walk in the snow and ice. I'm spoiled here walking on hard surfaces or sand. Happy weekend!

There was a coyote living in our neighbourhood last summer but I haven't heard of any sightings lately.

-14C, that is frigid!!! Take care walking, do you have Yaktraks or cleats with spikes so you do not slip or skid? I could hear the crunch on that snow.

Awesome captures of the critters surviving the harsh winter. I enjoyed watching these clips.

Well, they're fed, hence their relative comfort around you.

You have weather that is challenging for all.

Nice coyotes!! They really have a huge range. We just watched two of them on a beach in Baja California almost in the tropics.

those coyotes are indeed healthy, they normally look skinny this time of year.
