Unidentified Flying Objects!

We have had some exciting times here in North America. At first we pretend we pretend they aren't there, as we don't want the bad guys knowing we can detect these systems at a distance. They tracked the first one for days across the continent. Now, NORAD has better capabilities in their radar systems and can weed out small things like balloons.

The US shot down one balloon last week over the water. It travelled on a diagonal across from western Canada to southeastern US.

People have begun creating memes for it.

My SIL tells us they are capable of acting like a phone satellite, which cannot be good for privacy issues, as well as darker plans.

There was another one was dispatched on the border between Alaska and Yukon. It landed on Canadian territory, and we will recover it and figure it out. Then, on a quiet Sunday afternoon, there was an alert about another one. They closed air space around it. It appeared to travel across the Great Lakes.

Boeing Stratotanker 'no call sign!'

The US sent out some interesting planes to track it before they shot it down over Lake Huron.

After that excitement, I took out the garbage this morning. Our week begins anew. I hope you have a good one.

...Balloons sure have been in the news lately.

It has been very strange. Perhaps we are to suspect that this spying has been going on all along and we are just now discovering it.

That's interesting that you can keep track of all the planes. Sorry to see how many are not legit.

Yeah, the UK is feeling very left out and has been searching hard, but (at time of writing this) no contact has been made... 🌝 YAM xx

Scary stuff !!! Hope they can recover whatever was inside, and shoot down anything else that hovers. Stay safe Jen, too close for comfort I think.

Very strange happenings.

These kind of events don't cause me excitement but fear and worry.

There is something that we are not being told about these balloons.

It's all very weird. I bet the pilots love chasing these things in the sky. Your plane map looks like they'd be a bit dizzy going in circles. Linda in Kansas

It's all very mysterious and strange. I do wonder what the results will be, and I also wonder if it's been going on longer than we thought.

I have been following the news on this topic. Can't help but wonder if we have our own spy balloons floating around the world? We would never have known about these but thanks to the internet we are more aware.
