The sign that the grandkids are nearly at gramma's house is when they see the blue barn!
Oliver's Mapleworks
Today, Isabelle stood INSIDE the blue barn. She was so excited! We had a bit of a wagon ride, but it got stuck in the icy, granular snow!
You can see the old fashioned style of taps and buckets, as well as the modern system with the lines that flow into the sugar shack, where it is processed!
We had a tour of the barn, as well!
Its a treat to see where the warmth of the sun has melted the snow. Caitlin (M.Sc.), and a hydrogeologist, explains the rocks to Jofee.

So cool! I live in Western Wisconsin and there are a few folks here who also collect sap for syrup. It's an amazing process.
A nice day with your grandkids! I love the farm animals, I love any kind of animal.. Great post, happy Sunday!
