NaPoWriMo Day #3

This is from a writing prompt at imaginary garden with real toads...

the imaginary garden with real toads
failed again
how could I have done that?
repeating mistakes once again

searching for a purpose
neglecting my chores
negating my small mercies

angst bleeds from my pores
winds smash my face
winter is back breeding my discontent

I tried and I failed

This line really struck me. Perhaps we spend too much time searching for reasons while neglecting to live out each day purposefully.

Powerful. The pattern of the life. The angels. That's it.
