I had a mission. Well, two errands. First of all, I wanted to go to the Little Library at our municipal offices and find some books. I had 4 to drop off! I picked up 4, and I am good to go.
From there, I was taking our empty wine bottles and beer cans to our Lanark Animal Welfare Society, who is collecting empty bottle as a fundraiser. We don't drink beer, but JB always goes to the beer store to find some snappy cans of beer for our kids when they visit.
Last time we visited, there were boxes were all over the lawn. Now, they've put them all in the shed. I think. The beer store isn't recycling, due to COVID. Well, some stores are back on track, if they have a drive-through, as far as I can tell.
As I drove along, the clouds were stunning.
The vultures are still around. They will leave with freeze up, moving farther south. In the meantime, they hover about, cleaning up roadkill. This was a poor little raccoon.
I love the contrast.
This is my favourite!
Back at home, most of our migratory birds have left, but there was one red-wing blackbird singing in the tree.Red-wing Oct. 17 from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.

I love the little free libraries
Hello,
Love the sky shots. Pretty fall colors and trees! Neat captures of the Vultures. I have not seen the little libraries around my area, we are too rural. Have a happy day and a great new week!
...vultures need to eat too. Nice views of the countryside.

Beautiful clouds and golden leaves, one solitary black feathered friend atop the tall tree, as you drove I went along for the ride, love all those photos.
We have these "little libraries" mainly in parks. If we wish to donate books to our local library , they send you to the municipality to ask for the list of all "little libraries" in town and their location, and advised to put our books there!
Lovely photos. There are some lovely colours this time of year.
Great fall shots and some great fall chores.
Fall is here again. Nice to get errands run.
Wow! Those vultures are huge birds. We don't have them in Hawaii. We have lots of teeny birds though. I haven't seen those little library anywhere near where I live. I use my Kindle 100% of the time now though just because I can choose a giant font.
I enjoyed the sky photos!
I hadn't realized that there is a recycling backup, but of course.
These mini libraries, of which there are several in our neighbourhood, are one of the best innovations in recent memory.
