The kids came last weekend. Well, I guess it is two weekends ago! Last week they were off to Algonquin Park for canoe camping near Achray. They came home after one night, as the bugs were so awful. It was the perfect weather, the perfect campsite, and the perfect bug storm! I felt so badly for them.
The second day, they went to the falls to swim, then packed up and came home.
Back to the previous weekend. This is Isabelle, wearing my flip flops. They are growing so quickly!
They wanted a family photo.
Bless his heart, my SIL BBQ'd in the pouring rain! I loaned him a fresh t-shirt. He's a trooper.
I showed the girls the phoebe eggs.
A couple of days later, they'd hatched. The parents are working hard to feed them!

It is pouring rain outside the window here today - no plans for BBQ this side!!! Good that it didn't stop the fun for you all. YAM xx
Lovely family pictures! The girls are indeed growing fast and looking beautiful.
Your grandies will be beautiful tall young ladies so soon. Hard to imagine swimming and camping while down here it is coffee by the fire and winter woollies.
Those are terrific family photos that will be cherished as the kids grow older. Oh my gosh! He BBQed in the rain!!! That's amazing. I hope the food wasn't soggy. He sure IS a trooper.
Bugs are pretty good this way now. The heat has really put the kibosh on them. I'm aching to go over to the park to camp at the lake.
Ah, the bugs can still be murderous in Algonquin at this time of year.
Nothing like good time with the grand kids.
Jenn - yes, I know all about mosquitoes making your life miserable. That and camping in the rain. We've all done it and lived to tell the tale, but it would be hard to say it was fun! Enjoy the rest of your week!
Fun times, catching up with blogs after a week away at a cottage.
