We were happy to get the rain. Checking the weather radar, JB assured me the rain will have passed in Maberly, where the festival takes place. The artisan show, is located west of us, along highway #7. The lightning had moved on, according to the lightning maps, and tally ho.
Off we went through Perth.
Sept 1-3 (Sat, Sun, Mon), Sundance Artisan Show
It was damp, and humid, but the artisans were quite cheery, since the rain had passed. They opened up at 10 a.m., and we were there around 10:30.I quite liked the dragonfly, in the left of the photo. The artisan brought his forge, too.

I wish we had more wall space, the art is delightful. Our walls are full. Jason Goldsmith sells some amazing night lights, as well. Again, we have 4 going in the basement for when the kidlets visit, so we don't really need another, his are beautiful! You can visit his web page to check them out: The Big Blue Hug. Very Inspiring.
Also, I bought me a new hat! Mad Cap Hats, based in Frontenac County, Ontario.
There is a lower level in the park, a path with more artisans belows. The river is lovely.
It's peculiar. We were parked on the field, across the road. These people parked on the road. The woman could not get out of the car. Her spouse had to back up, allow her to get out on the driveway into our field, and then repark. I don't understand why people park on the road. You have to open your door, with much traffic, and it is risky.
Only 5 mm in the morning, but we had another 14 mm in the afternoon. I ventured out in the rain, in the afternoon. Sadly, hubby's Canadian Airlines umbrella leaks. I was so disappointed. The company existed 1987 - 2001. He moved to Air Canada after that. I loved that umbrella, it has a lovely handle! RIP.
Isn't it lovely!? The rain overflowed the gutters, there was so much falling. A green frog hopped along the sidewalk. They don't like the rain pounding down on them.

I enjoy those kinds of arts events.
Enjoy your new hat! It looks lovely.
I've always heard of Sundance Film Festival, not about the Artisan Show. Nice huts and display items!
I envy you for the rain; we're in such bad need for some rain!
That probably would have made a nice outing. Another year, perhaps.
When our gutters overflow, that is a lot of rain, you must be so pleased it arrived, Love the artisan stalls, and a neat hat. poor little froggy, he must have sensitive skin and the raindrops might hurt.
A lovely art show ...it is never good if it rains during a planned outdoor festival and I’m glad it stopped, but also happy for you that you got that rain. We need it so badly here.
Glad you got rain, and still enjoyed the interesting art show.
Your rain is pleasant and needed but I hope the tap will be turned off when it's enough.
I imagine some of those artists were at our New Art festival back in June.
I think your new hat looks great :)
All the best Jan
So glad the weather cooperated for the fair (dry) and for the drought (wet). I would love to have a good rainstorm here!
