Narrows Locks: headed to Napanee 1

En route to Napanee we were stopped, for the first time, at Narrows Locks. It's a swing bridge, allow the boats to enter the locks.

On we went, on treed roads, past rivers that will soon freeze!

Idyllic shots across the water and very pretty scenery. I love riding along tree-lined roads. Thanks Jenn :)

Blue waters have such a calming effect on me! On the other hand, bridges and roads arouse one's adrenalin, the wish to move, walk, drive. Luckily, Canada's got a lot of both worlds :big body waters with bridges, and vast roads.

Beautiful pictures. My son-in-law's parents had a narrow boat for years and I loved hearing about there trips through the canals in England.

Beautiful drive. There is a really cool bridge at Burritts Rapids too. Narrow. Interesting little historical village along the canal. We might go that way for our Sunday drive this week.

Been to The Narrows a few times. It's a pleasant spot. Perhaps we should go again.
