South Frontenac to Napanee 2

Wednesday, September 5th
From Narrows Lock, through South Frontenac...
It was a really hot day. Summer, or the last dregs.

Back to school this past week!

Napanee

It was so peaceful, with the breeze blowing, especially knowing fall is on its way.

In the parking lot! I'll bet this goes into a garage in the near future!

Off across the way at the park

Here is the patio where we had lunch. It's such a great town! We'd not visited this park before.

The temperature switch has sure been ... ah ... switched in the last couple of days, particularly the nights.

What a lovely place for lunch and a nap. The wood ducks seem to be very busy .

The inscription on that beautiful slab seat, was he in the Air Force at some stage? " Through adversity to the stars". lovely place to stop and have lunch, it looks so summery, we have a cold morning down here, winter has not quite finished yet, but in theory Spring should have truly arrived. At least my spring bulbs agree.

That was quite a drive!

The classic car reminds me of a man my parents knew- he had a large, low barn out on his property in the country, basically a garage that was heated and insulated. He rented it out to people with cars like that to store. In some cases just for the cold months, but in others, if one only had parking for one car at their building, it was handy to have it stored off site, so they would store it with him year round.

This lovely green area doesn’t look as dry as the drive you took on your post above. We need rain here in Oregon.
