The tree is lit!

Having trouble getting the lighting right!
Well, plugged in.

I put up our tree. A lovely one, on sale,
Dorah gazes at Annie!
JB bought me a lovely poinsettia
hubby bought me a few years ago I toyed with putting it up, the kids will likely only be here one day for Christmas, and they have a real one, but the lights at night are pretty. I decorate it with the ornaments my parents gave me when I was in high school. I think it was 1973 I went to a wedding in Sudbury. When I returned they had already gone out and cut a tree, and got me a little one for my dresser. It was all decorated.

I added ornaments from over the years. Daisy removes them!

Dorah inspects...
They seem to be discussing the gifts!
Under the princess blanket is Dorah's house/tent. She is still afraid of Buster, and wants a hidey hole. She is jealous of Annabelle, too.

The big bags are gifts from the cats for me. (I prebought them!) They seem pleased with their efforts.
Daisy, Dorah!

My creche scene
Although missing Shawn the sheep,
which the cats stele...
The outdoor tree is done. Jesse helped me when he visited. Sadly, we needed to go buy some more strings, which JB did for me. However, they didn't fit together. He returned one set.

We lived in Toronto, and there was a Noma Tree lights factory behind our house. They were quality products that lasted for years. These crappy ones, made in China, don't last two years.
Before
After!
Then, I decorated the chandelier. I used 5 of my 6 antlers.

Very festive! The cats think you do it all just for theier entertainment!

I agree about the lights bought these days. We have a really old set on our wooden tree outside (used to clip to the gutters) and they work perfectly. As the other ones stop working I just get rid of them. Your inside and outside trees look pretty.

I can definitely see the cats being fascinated by that!

Lovely tree and ornaments, but so close for decoration removals!! I wonder what is wrong here, I haven't done a tree or lights, and not a present wrapped yet!! However lawns are mown, most windows washed, and the cats are fed. What more could a girl want??

For many times we say it's the thought that counts. Your parents gave you Christmas decorations and little did they think how long they would be remembered for those decorations.
