Strange weather for cats, frogs and deer!

The critters don't know quite what to make of it! One day there is snow, and that afternoon it melts.
Daisy is happily sending her frog friends back into the depths.
I love the circle of mourning doves, except for the one outlier!

In the meantime, I've been feeding the birds in the morning, they empty the feeder by the afternoon. The ground feeders are quite happy with this. Tigger comes by near sunset.
And yes, Red, I talk to him! Always have. They sense us as being regulars. If the kids visit, and there is another car, they are much more wary.

This video is for hubby, who was out shopping when Tigger visited again! He is so handsome.

He is a fine buck. He used to hang about with his twin. I think this is Tigger! I talk to him. He's not tame but he does respond to us and he is less wary than the other bucks.

Truly amazing, I can only dream of this happening here. Looks a little cold, I thought you would have so much snow by now.

We've had snow at higher elevations, but only got a dusting one day so far down at the cabin. Do you have suet feeders for the birds? Do you have trouble with them attracting gnats? - Margy

At this point, we need the snow and a good drop in temperatures!
