Another daycation tour: colours, an owl, a vulture...

I'll start with the best and the last. On the way home, far off in the distance, I could see the tell-tale shape of a Great horned owl. Then, a roadkill deer carcass let me capture a close-up of a vulture!

There were loons about. Well, one big one in Newboro!

The drive was glorious. The reds and yellows were wonderful. We're just at the end of the fall display in southeastern Ontario. The hay has been cut and rolled, ready for harvest.

We stopped off to check out the lake and the marina in Newboro. Cottages are being closed up, boats brought in off of the lake. This is my favourite shot. A few boats about.

Nice. It has been quite some time since i actually spotted an owl, but I know that there is one around here somewhere because I hear it at night a lot.

Colorful fall pictures! The reds and yellows stand out more with the dark green spruce.

Lovely spray of colors by nature.
Excellent shots.
We hardly get to see such transitions in my part of the world.

Beautiful photos of the fall. I'm especially drawn to the barn, spotlighted by the sun.

pretty place to drive! around here the frost didn't come in a snap so leaves are more yellow than red this year.
