Muskoka Trip Part VI: gravesite and home again

After visiting my FB friend, and my cousin, we went to check out my parent's gravesite.
All looked well.

One of hubby's Meals on Wheels clients. Resting, at peace.

Our old home, renovated by the new owners,
with new back doors. Looks good!

We drove along our old road, too.
My cousin's old property for sale, again.
I know the 'new' owners in 2010, were upset with the neighbours.
Much partying, jetski noise.
Bought, as was our, in 1960s, my aunt and uncle long gone.
Cousins, in their 70s, in another province.

Down memory lane, cottaging here from 1960 - 2010.
It was good to see the old haunts, and some of our friends. What a whirlwind tour.

Isn't is great to get home? We're not big travelers. With 4 cats, it's a bit tricky.
We are content to walk about, take our daycations, and support local businesses.
The last part of the trip: picking up Buster Brown (age 2) from the cattery. He is aggressive, 'displaced aggression', if he cannot get out and 'play'. He's good to his little sisters (they are both 1 year old) but with Sadie, who is 8, he's wanting to play and tease her. It was easier to just board him, knowing the other three cats were fine alone for two nights.
My parents had sliding glass doors.
Jofee in 2010.

I opened the carrier. He looked about.
Left, looked right, left again.
With a giant leap for freedom, he happily stretched out, on his back, on the driveway while we unpacked. Home again, home again, jiggety jig!

Out of the carrier, Buster was happy!

I used to envy people in Ontario with their cottages. Such a great idea. Never really caught on in BC.
Buster seems to have survived the cattery just fine, and I'm sure the girls were glad to see him, although perhaps enjoyed the peace and quiet without him, LOL.
Take care, Jenn.
