Presents and critters

It'll be months before a mass vaccination in Ontario. Ontario will have a province-wide shutdown Dec. 26th, my birthday. A terrible situation in Ontario. Still, it's better than getting sick. Ottawa was recovering, with zero cases in ICUs.

We're to stay at home, unless absolutely necessary. Shopping for groceries is allowed. This time hardware stores are requiring preordering and outside pick up, JB read.

Yellow and green,  a risk of interprovincial and regional travel has been awful. Ottawa has brought COVID numbers down. The golden Horseshoe (southern Ontario from Toronto around the lake) is in a terrible state.

Christmas Presents

I thought I was good to go. All the other presents are under the tree. Some businesses have ramped up. Some have delays. This is what Isabelle wanted for Christmas. We were texting back and forth Nov. 24th.

Dec. 7

I was really upset when they emailed, Wish.com, I mean, and said they couldn't get the original. That took two weeks to determine.

Guess when they said it'd be here?

Trailcams

I had a surprise. We have two bunnies! 2 bunnies from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.

Finally, I managed to get the new camera working! That only took me 3 shots at it. I finally got the settings right, and had critters on the camera. He keeps circling the pumpkin, not quite interested in that!
He reminds me of that iconic wolf photo, with one eye covered by a tree in the foreground.

I went grocery shopping this morning. It was wild.

...online shopping sure has increased this year!

I wonder if he was spooked by the noise of the snow falling on the trailcam, a different unusual sound for him. So glad you mastered the problems and it is all OK.

It does feel like we're being punished because people in the GTA can't get their act together.

I was finished with my Christmas gift shopping by our Thanksgiving. I thought I would go to FLorida right after, but that didn't work out.

We spoke with friends from just north of Brampton this evening. They mentioned that the virus is spreading in some areas. Our stores are open, but we are not permitted to gather with anyone outside our household (some exceptions for those living alone). This has been a year of constant adjustments.

I have good friends in Australia and lockdowns have worked well there. It is tough for everyone but the results seem to have proven that it was worthwhile. There will be stories to tell once this is all over! Merry Christmas and all the best for 2021.
