A close-up: a young turkey and a deer!
JB called me to the back deck. The Canada Geese, normally down at the pond, or in the meadow, were taking walkies.
In the front yard... a lone female turkey.
The barrel has pumpkin, squash and zucchini seeds. They JUST began to sprout. Something (Butch raccoon, squirrel?) dug a hole and ate a wee plant. I dug out an old shutter and covered it up. sigh.
I had a camera fail down at the wood duck nesting box. The lower camera is set for video, hopefully to capture the ducklings heading for the wetland. The top one will take photos. (Not if I don't set it to "ON" and close the little door.)
The raccoons keep trying to get into the wood duck boxes. So far, the duck eggs are safe. This is box #2, it holds 12 eggs, and they are due to hatch June 5th.

Hello,
I hope those eggs stay safe. Love the deer and geese images. Great critter post. Thanks for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.
I have to hope that the raccoon doesn't make it, and I suspect he has plenty else to eat, so I am not feeling sorry for him.
Hello. The video of raccoon is great. Nice serie of photos.
Some of those critters really seem to be right at home in the yard -- the goose on the deck for example.
Thank goodness for the tin protector. Was that right? 23C at almost 7 p.m.? And the geese, magnificent birds, hope you see some more.
Fingers crossed for those Wood Duck eggs and chicks.
You wonder what the deer and turkey think of each other.
you have a lot of different wildlife in your yard, your very lucky.
You have three fairly big species using your yard.
So much wildlife at your place. We are heading home tomorrow I wonder what I will find. We've been gone so much this winter and spring. - Margy
So many wildlife visitors to your gardens.
Jenn, your "yard" is more like a national park! Love it!
Coyotes and foxes seem to be doing a number on goslings around here this year. There are an awful lot of parents with only one or two young.
