Trip to Carleton Place 1

We skirted the town of Perth, to go to Carleton Place for some of JB's supplements. He takes iron, bioenzymes, liquid calcium, and hericium SAP, amongst other things. It's always a nice drive. It was a beautiful day, and from there we went to Appleton, Code Dr., Nolan's Corners, and home through Smiths Falls. It's a good thing we did, since there was a shocking incident in Perth, about the time we were arriving home. More about that later.

On the weekend, we had 42.4 mm of rain, followed by a couple cm snow. Thankfully, that snowfall melted. They are warning us about flooding in the region. We shall see.

This was along Tennyson Road, I love it!

Logging, this is where we turned around.

We passed the old barn, with the solar power system beside it. It was an interesting juxtaposition. I had JB turn around and go back!

Yes, it is biking season.

The Big Rideau is still frozen.

The endless spring thaw bumps, as water heaves the culverts.

Flocks of blackbirds abound.

Lots of construction.

We made it. I vaguely waved hello to you and Sue, AC, in CP! I like this mall.

The rivers are flowing.

Green grass in spots!

And, finally, a photo I'd promised JB to post. Can you imagine building them so close together??? It was from March 20.

Tomorrow:
Appleton => Code Dr.=> Smiths Falls

BTW just because past attempts at rendez vous haven't worked out, doesn't mean that we can't keep trying. Mind you, it wouldn't have worked on Saturday either. :)

Those beautiful huge new homes all crammed so close together, I could see that last one ( that is just the framework) by itself, on a big front lawn, tree lined driveway, and more. You still have lots of snow, but a lovely day to be out and about.

People just don’t want yard work any more I guess (those big homes with no grass or garden space). That was a beautiful drive ...signs of Spring. And, as always, I admire how you make every errand run a fun adventure.

Very impressive Mall building!
As for the last picture - the entrepeneur and/or the municipality should be sued for these unbelievable closely built structures!

What is the matter with our heads when we build such big houses?

Here in Hawaii, they are called Monster homes. It's so much fun to see what's going on in your part of the world. No leaves on the trees yet, I see.

Jenn - you have a way of making the ordinary quite interesting. You couldn't pay me to live that close to someone else, much less many someone elses!
