Our buck!

Yes, indeed, 'our' buck! He spent Sunday, Dec. 2nd guarding a female. He's been a frequent visitor prior to this, back to November he's been a frequent visitor, once in awhile prior to this. It poured rain, all day. He was soaked.

Here he is in motion! He's been busy.

What a blessing to watch him in the yard, standing on my back deck.  I didn't see them at all on Monday. The doe is only in heat for 24 hours, perhaps the deed is done! I will look forward to going down to the trailcams today, even though we began the day at -7 C., although it says -9!

That is an impressive guy. Your little herd has a very healthy, nice looking patriarch.

I'm surprised he only had one doe. Usually they have several.
